Born in Toronto, ON, I have enjoyed photography all my life. Beginning with film photography, I quickly loved the freedom of expression that photography offers. Beyond taking pictures, I have taught principles of photography at Continuing Education classes and I love to share my excitement in this creative form of expression. As the realm of digital photography has evolved, I quickly learned how this technology has opened up even more exciting forms of expression.

I am beginning Pictor Photography as my professional career in IT nears retirement. This enables my business approach to be relaxed because I am not dependant solely on my business as a photographer. While I have "documented" events for friends, I look forward to opportunities that allow me to pursue my love of photography as it moves from a hobby to a business meeting the needs of clients.

It is important for clients to understand that while Pictor Photography is not a financial lifeline for me, my respect for those that depend on their skills in photography to make their livelihood means that I will not undersell myself just to get a booking. I do it because I love it, but I hold high admiration for those that have the skills and work hard to make their living doing what I love doing. I have no intention of undercutting fair pricing just because I have the luxury of not having to depend on my business as my only means of support.
